Hamilton police are investigating a street robbery in the area of Herkimer street and MacNab street south. The victim attended a local hospital where he received treatment and has since been released.
On April 16th, 2019 shortly before 23:00, Hamilton Police Service (HPS) responded to a reported robbery in the area of Herkimer Street and MacNab Street South. Throughout the investigation, please learned that an altercation took place between both the victim and a male suspect around 22:00. The suspect fled the scene heading in the direction of 234 MacNab Street South with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and sought medical treatment on his own at a local hospital.
A search of the area resulted in Hamilton Police Service (HPS) locating a replica firearm. The investigation at this time is still on going as Hamilton Police Service (HPS) detectives are working to obtain a suspect description and additional details. The one thing we know for sure is that the victim is okay and has been released from the hospital.
