Hamilton Police Service (HPS) east end detectives are continuing to investigate an assault that occurred Wednesday afternoon that left one male with a stab wound.
Police believe that this assault happened in an alley near the rear of 212 Kenilworth Avenue. As a part of the investigation, the area was thoroughly checked and a knife was recovered. As the investigation in ongoing at this time, police can’t confirm whether the knife located was used in this incident.
A 21-year-old male victim of no fixed address remains in hospital receiving treatment for his stab wound. Police were able to tell us that he is not cooperating with police and that this is believed to be a targeted attack. They are asking residents in the area to check their video surveillance for any suspicious activity.
