A Man Rescued In Niagara Falls Gorge

A man was rescued after falling into the Niagara gorge.

A 21-year-old male from Kingston Ontario is in stable condition after falling into the Niagara Gorge.

Niagara Falls fire department, paramedics, police and Niagara Parks Police services responded to an are just off of River Road last night when they got reports of a man who fell into gorge around 20:00.

An investigation revealed that that a group of friends had gained access to a closed off observation platform. While they were on the platform, one of the males reportedly dropped their keys over the fence and climbed over a barrier in an attempt to retrieve them. While trying to get the keys, the man fell approximately 40-feet into the gorge below.

He was since rescued and transported by an air ambulance to Hamilton’s critical care unit where he currently remains in stable condition. The male was issued a provincial offence notice for the offence of “Climb Wall” contrary to the Niagara Parks Act.
