Hamilton Police Service (HPS) have charged a 33-year-old man with stunt driving after he was spotted during speed enforcement going 100+ km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone.
During a speed enforcement operation on August 28 2019 near First Road East and Mud Street East in Hamilton, police observed a red 2008 Chevrolet Silverado tow truck passing other vehicles at “astonishing” rates of speed. The tow truck was traveling southbound on First Road East and it was clocked doing 130 km/hr in a post 60 km/hr zone. Police were able to conduct a traffic stop and the driver was issued a summons to attend court.
The unidentified 33-year-old Stoney Creek man faces charges of speeding and stunt driving. As a result of these offenses, the driver’s license has been suspended and the vehicle has been impounded for one week (7 days). The male is set to appear in court on September 25, 2019 to answer to his charges.
