Hamilton Police Service (HPS) was called to 231 Ferguson Avenue South in Hamilton after city workers found a deceased body.
Yesterday morning around 10:12, city workers were clearing the long grass around a pumping station for one of the last times before winter strikes. Upon doing so, they located a deceased person. Police officers responded and confirmed that the body they located was a deceased male. Detectives are working with the Coroner’s office to determine both the identity and the cause of death. Hamilton police were in the area and held the scene for roughly 24 hours and were requesting that the public stay clear.
As soon as we are able to release the identity of the male and the cause of death, we will post an update on our social media and right here on our website.
